Yeesh...
My blog makes me feel like I'm slacking off. Augh.
I've been doing a lot, but not taking pics..
I'm consistently making work, but I could be making more.
I've got some ideas on how to increase my production though, so hopefully my blog will be reinvigorated.
Plus, my current work has been playing with pop art style, and it's a lot of fun. It's different from anything I've ever done really. Sorta.. it's similar to stencils.. sorta.. But ya, I'm getting more and more adventurous with it. Pics soon.
After (and including) my venture with pop art, I'm also gonna dive into the whole shwag scene and design some t-shirts to make a little extra money. I think I have some $$ potential there...
In other news, I recently put in my tuition and housing deposit for Ringling College of Art and Design. So it's totes official now. W00t.

post..
Wow, I haven't posted anything for ages...
I promise, I'll post up new work soon.
Not like anybody's reading this... lol.
Anyways,
It's practically official- I'm going to Ringling College of Art and Design
(Ringling.) I'll be sending in the acceptance of everything this week.
Wow, this year is gonna be exciting! :D

misc
I just made a cool discovery!! :)
The plastic page sleeve things you put in binders and presentations and whatnot--make for great acrylic palettes. I used one last night (because I was to lazy to get something else) and let the extra paint dry onto it... and today, I VERY easily peeled all of it off! Give it a try.
In other news, Facebook is lots-o-fun, Monsters vs Aliens comes out in a week, and this video is very cool:

film
You know how people say, "that's the best movie I've seen in a long time."?
If you don't... it's time to part ways with that rock you're under.
Anyhow..
I figured I'd make a list of movies that I've said that towards recently:
Coraline
Kung Fu Panda
Cloverfield
Wall-E
I'll update as I think of them...

Slimer!
Pronounced "slymah!" An OLD nickname I got when I was a baby...
Because I drooled a lot.
Lol.
I just remembered it the other day, and I'm really starting to warm up to it. :D

^This one was first, as a more toothy Ghostbuster Slimer... just a rough sketch

^I just did this one, a bit more elaborate and even more of a deviation... I'm having fun exploring with shading... not something I do much of :P
FAIL with the mouth though... After seeing this, I definitely want the teeth to be quite convex and the lips fairly swollen.

OH!
Forgive me, please excuse...
I've been posting tonight, and failed to mention any news!
As of today, I've been accepted to both MCAD and Ringling!
Pretty cool...
and btw, the portfolio posted on here is the one that was sent to both colleges.
..for anyone curious.
...of what an accepted Ringling portfolio looked like.
..ya...
Laters!

Madame Mirage

I didn't know WHERE exactly to post this, so I just put it on here, since it was art-related..
After reading Madame Mirage, a decent comic series by Paul Dini and Kenneth Rocafort, I couldn't help but imagine it as a feature film. After all, it's what all the cool kids are doing these days.
Indisputably, Jessica Biel would play Madame Mirage/Angela. Curvaceous, sexy, "impossibly endowed", and simply classic-looking, Jessica Biel has no equal in her likeness to Madame Mirage.
Rebecca Romijn Stamos is the best option for Harper, Mirage's controller and... sidekick? Stamos has done well in supporting roles before, like X-Men's Mystique, and also bears a surprising likeness to the character Harper.

To help split stuff up, and to get more focused with my art-stuffs, I've created a second blog... the one you're on right now.
Anyhow, welcome! Congratulations on discovering my blog, and I hope you enjoy my work.
